Turns out that I wasn’t as inquiring and found out that x265 videos just have licensing issues and not everyone can consume/watch them so I’m just switching over to .webm in the meantime for compatibility. I guess even when you have something good going as x265 compression you still have to deal with a lot of pain whether the device supports it.
