You know I’ve been going back and forth on the subject mostly at leisure. LLM(Large Language Model) in my mind shouldn’t be considered Artificial Intelligence due to the reason that there’s no consciousness, agency, or intent. It’s just not sentient. Like, sure you can absolutely make a software that can reason with you through vast texts, but it doesn’t mean it is true intelligence. It is not forming it’s own thoughts, and therefore deciding by itself.

LLM is still a remarkable step forward. Artificial Intelligence is basically the new “cloud” in marketing terms as in it is all vague and probably means absolutely nothing to the consumer at times.

The day artificial intelligence truly happens would be the day that we probably would have a new slavery issue on our hands again. How will we deal with something that can reason like a human being, feel like a human being? Well, I’m sure I won’t be alive to see it. The people who clank the clankers will rise, for sure. (wait…)
